@marionpdaly @amber1ey Are you originally from the West Coast? I started to notice it a lot in use with mixed gender groups in and around the Bay Area. Didn't see it as much in the tech industry in the Northeast, but when I started working in SF, it was everywhere.On twitter.com

@marionpdaly @amber1ey The real shocker for me was hearing it used in the context of women-in-code events. That led to some begrudging acceptance of it, but it still never sat right with me. I've tried to avoid it (though I'm sure I've slipped and used it on occasion).Permalink On twitter.com
