@techleadhd You have totally missed the point on this. It may not feel "fair" to you, but the actions you decry are direct attempts to undo centuries of structural oppression. Tech companies have traditionally hired from sources that largely produce white and Asian male candidates.

@techleadhd And since you brought up children & race, I’ll share this… I am the white father of a black son. I grew up poor; he is growing up affluent. I was never followed through a store or harassed by police; he likely will be. Structural racism is real and requires active dismantling.

@techleadhd Many of the examples you share are intentional actions aimed at dismantling systems of oppression and they’re required if we are ever to achieve equity in this world. Others create safe spaces for people who belong to minoritized/oppressed communities to learn and build networks.
