      1. What was turning out to be a pretty alright day took a turn when the washer decided to dump a gallon or so of water on the floor upstairs and it started coming through the kitchen ceiling.

      Glad I had drop cloths, making tape, a drywall saw, and moisture meter handy, but it's made for an exhausting afternoon of “let's follow the water.”

      Update: ~10 hours of ceiling removal later, we've got a 10' square hole in the ceiling but managed to get all the water tracked down. Treated for mold, dried overnight, and took down the draping today. Should have fresh drywall up tomorrow. 🤞🏻
