      1. I feel like we are either at or close to the point when capitalism's drive for growth at all costs is coming into direct conflict with bigotry (masked as a “firmly held religious belief”) and I honestly wonder how Republican politicians are going to square that.

      I say it's a problem for Republicans because the bigotry towards protected classes most often originates from folks who consider themselves “conservative” and that’s a viewpoint Republican politicians are far more likely to vociferously align themselves with.

    Both Dems and Republicans are heavily aligned with the corporations that fund their campaigns and lobbiests who write their laws, it just seems the Dems are going to do a better job enabling folks from protected classes to transfer their wealth to corporations.

      Republicans’ support of bigoted legislation, legal action, and violence, on the other hand, is a direct threat to corporate interests.
