          @KimCrayton1 Bring this to the attention of the event organizers as a requirement as soon as possible (ideally before the event). Any A/V person running the podium should know to ask if you need audio out from your machine as well as your mic. Sometimes they forget to ask though.

        @KimCrayton1 Depending on the conference, some aren’t used to folks embedding audio and won’t even be prepared to handle that (in which case I’ve sometimes had to resort to holding my mic up to the computer speakers, which sucks).

      @KimCrayton1 At least with prior warning, you can complain if they haven’t prepared properly. I also recommend doing a trial run of the A/V setup prior to your presentation (during a break, the night before, the morning of) to ensure you have the settings dialed in before you go on.
